RE: Offensive Speech in regard to another Wordler player

LETTER OF ADMONISHMENT

Dear Mr. Welch: 

The Office of the United Wordle Association (the Association) has determined that you (Mr. John Welch) has violated the Kindness Code, section 1376 and Michigan Code of Regulations, title 28, section 1300.76 (failure to encourage younger people at all times). John Welch declared himself commissioner over the Vander Hill Wordle League in the summer of 2022 but has been ineffective at regulating much within the league, including putting league members on probation without cause.  

Additionally, the commissioner has requested members of the league pledge his allegiance to him.  This is, of course, in violation of Exodus 20:4-5: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me (KJV)”.  Knowing that Mr. Welch is angering the one true God and casting iniquity from his own disobedience unto his children and grandchildren (some of whom are members of this very league!) has upset the association greatly. 

Recently, it has been reported that on Friday, April 19th, 2024, Mr. Welch sent the following text to the Vander Hill Wordle League: “Off the record……..just think how screwed up our little peaceful Wordle community would be if Meredith were the Commissioner!” following this message, Ms M VanderHill remarked on the offensiveness of the comment, to which Mr. Welch replied “Oh shoot I thought that was only going to Brooklyn.” 

The United Wordle Association would like to make it clear that comments of this kind are hurtful and not in line with our 249 year old mission statement: “We innovate, collaborate, create, vacillate, procrastinate, pontificate, deliberate and frustrate daily for our world wide wordle community.”  Should Mr. Welch continue with this sort of behavior, The Association will remove him from the organization immediately, and he will be fined $10 for every day he does not apologize, as reported by a witness chosen by this association at random: Ms. Brooklyn Vander Hill.
